How does Facebook Investigate reports?

Ok I naively added someone as a friend on facebook who wasn't what they appeared. After adding them I became very suspicious that their account might be a fake for several reasons and when I confronted them about this they responded with abusive messages. I blocked this person but before I blocked them they threatened to get all their friends to report my profile. I didn't use any threatening language to this person. Also my account is not fake, it's three of four years old and has lots of friends and family connections.

Can this person really get all their friends to report me or is this just an idle threat? If the Facebook mods get reports about me can they see I sent them nothing abusive and that they were the one being abusive?

Could someone please shed light into this? I'm a little concerned as I use Facebook to stay in touch with many of my friends and family who now live far away.

one report is all it takes to get someone into trouble - but only if the person is breaking the rules

having more than one person make the same report does nothing other than waste the time of the people who work for facebook
