Christians and agnostics/atheists: What is your opinion on Satanism/Satanists?

Mainstream Satanists dont worship the devil, they worship themselves, which at least is provable as a means to self advancement on some levels.

Abrahamic adherents, on the other hand, are indoctrinated and enslaved cult members with no realisation of that fact.

Up in the air. The satanists don't seem to be well organized or have any set policies as a religious movement around the world. I don't know therefore if they are nature loving tree huggers; just looking out for number one scenario like Le Vay's church let alone if they are those demon summoning maiden and baby sacrificers like in those old Hammer films or Dennis Wheatley's books.

A quick Google search shows that some versions of Satanism apparently have a modified form of the Golden Rule. Their version goes something like "do unto others as they do unto you."

Revenge doesn't really feel so good after all. So I disagree with the Satanist version of the Golden Rule and think that Jesus Christ is right.

satanism is funny, but its getting kind of old. at least the "official" version. Same problem the Discordians have really: all these groups stuff was written when such a thing would have caused monocles to pop out. But that world is gone and they havent really changed their public game face. Satanism is funny because its designed solely to irritate and send christians off into a huff to fight imaginary demons...although they will do this without any prompting on their own.

But it really isnt that interesting at this point. Just another group of people who know you can drive christians insane by writing stuff like "Satan is my savior!" or "I got 666 tattooed on <insert body part here>"

I have friends in the Church of Satan and have read the Satanic bible. They are atheists who follow a philosophy and they are good people from what I have seen

Isn't it the belief that Satan is a force within you and that you should focus on yourself first? If so, then it's less annoying than Christianity. But still false.

as per Laveyan Satanism it's kinda badass/punk rock as it's really just a bunch of selfish atheists using "satan" and "magick" as metaphors.

there are very few actual worshippers of the evil biblical satan, but there are some luciferans which see lucifer as the "good guy" who brought knowledge to man, which is cool but still a delusion.

Satanism is just as bad as Christianity, Islam and Judaism.

Christianity is responsible for Satanism.
