Anybody ever been on Clomid, and didn't get pregant, but had side effects and had to be taken off of it?

I was on it longer than I should have been, I see that, but I was on them a year. I started having bad side effects and didn't realize it at first that they were the serious side effects and I needed to be taken off of them. So, its my 1st month without them and I usually don't start my periods till bout the 23 or so...like later on in the month. I had a period around that time last month and then, didn't take my clomid, now its just the 8th day of May and I'm feeling symptoms of my period...Been having a discharge, headache, ect... Anybody else ever been in this problem before. I will be tickled to have a period just to see if I'm ovulating without any help...I of course still want a baby and that would be wonderful if that was the case, I didn't have a period....Just need answers....
