So, if you don't believe in God - what do you think is going to happen when you die?

Good question, I don't know because I do believe in God and I know I'm going to heaven because I've accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior.

My body will decompose- well that's if I'm not cremated. Past that? I don't know, and I don't spend much time thinking about it. I do generally try to be a good person and do the right thing, and I hope if this lifetime's behavior has an effect on what happens to me after I die that my being a good person helps me out.

I will be reincarnated as a super-rich billionnaire who has all the time and energy in the world. I will use my time, energy and money to help out lots of people - abused children, abused women, families who live in poverty, pregnant teenagers, etc.

Either that or I will just come back as a cat. And sleep all day.

In all seriousness, I would like the first scenario.

But I believe that after I die I will be reunited with all of my dead loved ones - my mom, my Grandpa, my uncle, and the sister I never met.

I know my body will turn blue, I'll bloat up, I'll decay caused by bugs eating me from the inside out, and then I will decay some more, until eventually I'll be nothing but bones. This is acually what will happen to all of us. There is no debating that. End of story.

I'm neutral on the existence of God, or more likely "God's".

Imo, God or the God's have either all been destroyed or they've left us behind, seeing as we are not headed anywhere "heavenly".

If there is and never was any god's, then I imagine it just ends. Our mind loses all synaptic function and we just no longer exist. Just nothing.

Maybe I will be reincarnated and live another life as something or someone else. Maybe my life's energy will just dissipate into space or maybe it will be absorbed by something else and I'll live in pieces of other things. Maybe there really is nothingness. Maybe we were put here by aliens doing an experiment and when I die I'll go and live with them.

Each of those possibilities is just as likely as going to heaven or hell.

I've never cared enough to come up with a theory. I've always said I'll find out when I die.

Nothing. Death is the end. Nothing happens after. I don't believe in souls or afterlives either. When a living thing - be it a plant, a dog, a rabbit, or a human - dies, it ceases to exist. The body rots away (or is cremated).

Some atheists do believe in souls and afterlives, or reincarnation. One does not have to believe in any gods to be religious or spiritual.

Some believe in re-incarnation, others just think you cease to exist and that's it.

i'm agnostic; i don't know for sure and can't imagine how anyone else can be sure they do.

but if i had to bet my iced tea, or even a case of iced tea? that the world will just go on without me.
