what is the difference between male and female shirts?

I see websites that sell shirts and they have female and male versions of T-shirts(which absolutely confused me). What is the difference? Do they both go by different sizes, like are women's medium smaller than a men's medium? What is the big idea with it?

A woman's tshirt will be fitted more in the waist and will have extra space up top! It is just shape differently. A men's shirt will also have broader shoulders and it will be baggier on a woman.

A woman's size is usually smaller but also, notice the shape of the shirts. For a woman's, it tucks in at the waist/stomach and comes back out (an hourglass figure shirt) where as men's are just straight down.

Woman size is definitely small. Like if a girls t shirt is large/medium, usually it is S in men size. Men size will be longer on the arms length, and women size will usually be slim fit, and short on the arms.

They make shirts for youths and females that are no longer geared up so purchase certainly one of those types. The shoulders would be narrower, they would be somewhat shorter with shorter hands (staring on the dimensions) and, maximum crucial, they are going to be made to accommodate boobs so yeh, get an unfitted lady's shirt.
