How many magazines does a Marine carry into combat with them?

Magazines, lets see there is Playboy, Hustler, Adam, Popular Mechanics.......................

I was issued 7 mags initally, but with all the field ops and such, you tend to acquire more stuff especially when you have a vehicle.

I'd always carry one in the weapon, and one in a buttstock pouch. Had some MOLLE pouches on my flak along with some pouches for my 40mm HEDP grenades. Having a vehicle greatly increases the amount of whatever you can carry.

Some of the guys were buying Blackhawk thigh rigs and other stuff.
