Rome is without doubt one the most lovely towns on the planet; each year countless tourists result from around the globe to appreciate the treasures and projects of Roman art and structure and to be one of them you should begin with Hotelbye . One of the very famous of Rome's many sections is Piazza Navona. That place keeps the form of the Stadium of Domitian that after stood here. Piazza Navona was builted by Emperor Domitian in 86 AD and has three spectacular fountains.

The Romans and the British<various groups of British tribes...> had a relationship spanning many years, over a 100 years of contact, trade, customs, tributes and intervention prior to Romes fixed
commitment to invade, conquest and occupy the huge island. For many years, Rome made more $$$$$$ by trade, customs, tributes, than it could hope to make by conquest and occupation and the
taxes that would then become the main source of sustenance.
Various attempts to invade were tried, and finally Britain was conquored and occupied by Rome and became Britannia. It was a long process ie. think of of the U.S. winning the West or Russia winning
and settling Siberia and crossing over to Alaska. As a border state to the empire the land of Britain was always a security concern. Rome wanted stability there and a source of commerce/tribute et al.
Whenever , Rome felt trouble in Britain or instability there it gave Rome an excuse or pretext for policing it and ultimately taking over... It was sort of an ancient form of imperialism/colonialism ie.
like the USA deciding to just go ahead and invade a Mexico or Cuba...after having established relations there for many tears... and of course Britannia has gone onto become a Great Empire and
conquor/take over various colonies...like she was herself long ago to Rome.
