Atheist, If you don't believe in God, or jesus then why do u even care about who does?

I personally have never said I don't care, I do. I'm interested in other people, I think that's natural. I want to know what they believe and why.

Just because a book is written by people doesn't make it worthless. And the fact that 2 billion people consider it to be the word of god (either literally or at least inspired), makes it an important text. I also think it's beautiful, some parts anyway.

I don't think being a Christian is necessarily wrong. Well, in a very literal sense I do think it's wrong, otherwise I'd be one obviously. But it is not my goal to make every Christian leave the church. However, IF people want to discuss religion in a public, neutral place such as this, then I'm glad to participate. I learn something from it every time, and I hope sometimes someone learns something from me as well.

As to your last paragraph... I don't KNOW these things, no. But I won't believe in them just because it might be nice if they did.

Religion interferes and tries to get involved in politics, in which it has no place.

There are people constantly shoving religion down my throat.

There are people being killed all the time due to religion.

Religious fundamentalists are always trying to bring down evolution, for which there is SO much proof that it is actually ridiculous that people doubt it.

Creationists are constantly trying to get creation into the school curriculum.

Finally an atheist is someone who does not believe in god. That's not a positive claim like "there is no god". Since I have not posited the last part of your rant is irreverent to me.

Anybody has the right to criticize beliefs. I expect (and hope) that you criticize beliefs that lead people to kill others. If you don't, your morality fails.

It is easy to prove that your god Yahweh doesn't exist. I also expect that Yahweh-believers will not like this, and in order to prevent cognitive dissonance they will deny it.

There's no reliable evidence for God/Yahweh, Jesus, Allah, Zeus, Odin, Quetzlcoatl, Vishnu, Thor, Shiva, or any of the thousands of other gods that people have worshiped. If any of the major gods existed, there would be reliable evidence. Since no such evidence exists, these gods do not exist. There's also extensive evidence that they are all just myths, created to help soothe our fear of death, and perpetuated through religion to subjugate the underclass into obedience.

For good people to do evil things and call them good, THAT takes religion:

Why do you think you only ever see Atheists sprout their crap online? Because they are cowards who are weak and afraid to make their beliefs known in the real word. Atheists claim to be the most respected people of the world. This is completley false. Atheists are the most hated minority in not only America, but the whole world. If I believed it was not only right, but vital, that children should play on the freeway, any decent citizen would try and prevent me from pursuing that right, or trying to make that 'right' a law?
