How often do you water sunflower seeds?

How often do you need to water sunflower seeds? Also, about how many days does it take for them to germinate? (I have to plant them for my ag science class)

    They really don't need much. Just make sure the soil doesn't dry out completely.

    While they are germinating just keep the soil moist. Don't let it dry out or get soggy. If light and temperatures are perfect and you followed planting instructions you can see seedlings breaking soil in as little as seven days. Otherwise up to fourteen days is normal for germination.

    Since they gave you no direction, I'm guessing they want you to figure this out.

    I'd take some clay pots, maybe 4 & put 6 or so seeds in each. Try growing one pot with full sunlight, water every day. Next pot, full sunlight, water every 3rd day. Another pot...full shade, water daily, next pot...full shade & water every 3rd day.

    You can even go further & add some peat moss to some pots & not to others. One thing I would do is be consistent with shade or sun & how often they're watered.

    Your teacher might just be impressed that you went to this length to see what the results were when trying different techniques.

    As long as the soil is damp they will be fine. It could take longer than a few days. It could be a week or more before anything happens.

    it quite does matter at considered one of those soil you have. it that's prosperous soil, you could water it common, except the water has no longer absorbed. in thinner soil you may additionally water it common, yet use much less water. prosperous soil is greater suitable. desire that enables ;)
