Why are conservatives so willing to believe that poor people and gay people are the cause of all problems?

Less than 1% of our nations total wealth and resources go the poorest 20% of people in our country, yet most "conservatives" believe that the key to solving our economic problems is cut back a little more on that 1%.

The Kardashian girls spend more of our country's wealth and resources on shoes than the total income of thousands of illegal immigrants, but somehow you people believe that the key to economic success is to take from the poor so that the Kardashian girls can afford platimun covered shoe laces.

How at least have of Americans beleive such things?

If you took all of the money that goes to bottom 20% and gave it to the top 1%, they wouldn't even notice the difference.

Update:

The taxes that we pay to the government are far less than the taxes we pay to our capitalistic lords. The real bloated government is wall street and the oil companies. The wealthy people who own Industries are feudal Lords and they take a much much bigger piece of the value that workers create than the federal, state, and local governments combined.

The only reason that we give them that wealth is because they have wealth already.

Actually, I completely believe that rich and middle-class liberals are the cause of many problems, too.

Probably along the same lines as liberals who believe fellow Americans are the cause of all problems, just because they're conservatives.

They don't. If you took all the money from the top 1%, we'd be screwed. You don't like the frivolities of celebrity spending, don't support them. Hollywood makes it's money off of America.

I'd cut far more than 1%, I'm sure most conservatives would, but Dems control the Senate and the sitting president is a Dem. The Senate refuses to do anything, hasn't voted on even a budget since 2009 and Congress has created 16 bills waiting to be voted on earlier this year. They have to do something, at some point.

There's always going to be an upper class, always has been, always will be. That's just how the world is. They can either be people who've gotten their wealth privately or the government. You give the government the license to do so, they will become the upper class who throws crumbs at the peasants.

Have you been listening to liberal talking points again? I do not believe that gays or poor are the cause of our problems. I am not against helping those who need help but the poor should not be permanently on government programs. Nobody ever got rich being dependent on welfare and food stamps. At some point they should be able to become self sufficient and take responsibility for their futures and their lives. That type of dependence creates slaves to the government and leave people at the mercy and control of that government.

I believe that big bloated government, over spending, and corrupt politicians are our biggest problems. Government was never intended to solve all our problems and needs to get back to what it was intended for. I think it is pretty ridiculous that we as Americans make people like the Kardashians stars and make them wealthy. For what? It sure isn't for talent. I also find it unsettling when some of the most hedonistic people on earth and who spend money on lavish lifestyles are behind trying to get Obama re-elected. Do you think they can relate to the average person who is struggling to make ends meet? Yet liberals like to talk about those rich Republicans and they fall for the class warfare Obama is trying to create.

Greed is what has brought this country to where it is. Policies created to distribute the wealth among the top 15% of the population. 85% only shares 6% of the wealth. The poor does not really share more than .7%. By keeping wages low and prices high, the elite of this country seeks to perpetuate the situation.

“We have always known that heedless self interest was bad morals, we now know that it is bad economics.” Franklin Delano Roosevelt

"I see in the near future a crisis approaching that unnerves me and causes me to tremble for the safety of my country. . . . corporations have been enthroned and an era of corruption in high places will follow, and the money power of the country will endeavor to prolong its reign by working upon the prejudices of the people until all wealth is aggregated in a few hands and the Republic is destroyed."

    It is simple...

Laws are produced to protect, but along with protection comes restriction.

Example: using my own personal experience.

I'm poor! I'd like to start a business. A law that requires me to pay $1000.00 to get this license and certificate is keeping me from moving foward. Now I could get a loan, but that would put me in serious debt.

A rich person the $1000.00 fee is nothing!

Even law restrictions on the rich are hurting me.

I've tried to play the stock market with the little cash that I have; maybe $100.00 at most. All these new laws on the markets stocks are just not rising. I pretty much lost the $100.00

I personally think the poor need to think differently. Start by getting some of these law that we have overturned and open up these barriers to entry for us!

    WHAT!!!!!

We're blaming people like the kardashian sluts and people like you who let them get away with crap!

You're telling me that 20% of the country makes less than $20,000 a year? I know that some people make less, but that's by choice!! They either don't want or need much money or get some kind of perks with the job!! More than likely both!!!! The rest of us make more! That's how we can afford the latest and greatest cell phones, cable, ipods/pads, etc...!! Hell even those on welfare have the latest and greatest gadgets!!!!!

Come on boo-boo, man up and admit your an Conservative in training!!

I am a conservative and how did the Kardashians get into this conversation. I hate them and their wild spending and their wild ways. Its the Liberals that seem to idolize the rich and famous. Even obama would love to get up on that stage and perform except he is much to stilted and reserved to do so!

You can rant away all you want, but what you basically have said here is a lie! obama professes to hate rich but yet who do you think finances his campaign, not the Poor that is for sure! Now, what do you think the rich Democrats are getting in return for their generosity in getting obama re-elected?

Why are all liberals so willing to think that poor people and gay people are victims? We all have the same rights, we don't need the government's help to get ahead of the crowd.

Billions and billions and billions are spent on illegal immigrants, from free health care in emergency rooms to educating their children in our schools to getting run over by their drunk driving to caring for them inside our prisons, etc.etc. You don't really think the Kardashian girls spend this much on shoes, do you?

Our biggest impediment to prosperity is a government that has gotten so bloated that it is choking the life out of the private sector, and people like you who still think the government is still way too small. I feel sorry for you.

Thank you for your opinion of conservatives. If that is what you really believe conservatives think, then you are truly a small and narrow-minded person.

    Here, now, are some facts:

We are opposed to socialist liberal programs because they are demonstrably bad for the country.
