Security clearance for admitted drug use.?
For all of us who have security clearances. After going thru the process of secret, let alone TSBI and others.
Who would expect to receive a clearance like this after admitting to extensive drug abuse, alcohol abuse and such while in high school and college??
This was admitted freely and is well documented.
I would never expect to be granted a clearance on this information. Yet.....we have a commander in chief that has done this and is now in charge of the rest of us poor slobs who are held to a higher standard than the Commander in Chief.
Seems like the press has given him a free pass on this. How sad for our country.

If it's more than 5 to 7 years ago it is usually not a problem as long as you have performed at a high level since the use stopped.

If underage eating disqualified you from ROTC scholarships, there could be virtually no person on scholarship different than Mormons and Muslims. And attempting pot as quickly as won't in any respect disqualify you the two. Arrests and/or convictions for the two could be a issue, yet no longer experimental use. As for risk-free practices clearance, mendacity will wreck you...i've got seen it take place. in any different case they do no longer care lots. One chum had to maximum staggering his interviewer that instead of smoking marijuana 5-6 situations in a 2 12 months era it replaced into 5-6 situations in step with week for the two 12 months era. No issue getting a clearance, nonetheless it did keep him out of a White domicile place.
