Does your child take some of your drinks or food?

My son loves to steal my drinks and try to finish them. Apparently he does it at my friends' house too when they watch him. He doesn't take food too often. Although we were having lunch with his grandparents one day. He was sitting right next to my dad. He reached out and took the last little part of my dad's sandwich. We all cracked up. He just grinned. He was 20 months then.

My kids do that all the time. Unfortunately I drin lots of pop, so I constantly have to hold my drink all the time, or drink after they go to bed.

My niece did that with the drinks and it drove me crazy. My husbands diabetic and drinks no caffine diet drinks that taste aweful and she still did it with him. So when she lived with me, i would point it out everytime i noticed her taking someones drink. Then i would get her her own. And eventually id just leave a glass of juice or milk in the fridge for her or water on the table so she coukd just get it. Shes 4 and it took a while but it worked. My sons only 19 months so he usually just helps himself. We rarely let him though. He always tries to take food off his dads plate; so we either point what he was reaching for out on his plate or put some off our plate onto his.

My kid does that to me all the time (she is 5 now). Even if she has her own drink, she'll just walk up and drink out of mine like it's no big deal.

She always wants a bite of my food, even though it's the same thing that is on her plate.

But, then again I can't say much because I am 22 and I still snitch my Mama's iced tea lol.
