Why have McVities biscuits become so awful to eat ?
I used to love Rich tea biscuits,Milk choc digestives etc but,They all taste so awful now.Have they cut some of the ingredients ? Do they bake them far too quickly to make more money ?
I bought a twin pack of Milk choc digestives from tesco just a few days ago. They are really hard and just dont break up in the mouth as they used to.

It's all about the money. They replace high quality ingredients with cheaper substitutes, and assume that the public won't notice. If Flour A costs say 100 quid a tonne (or whatever) and Flour B that "looks just as good" is only 50 quid, there's a reason.

because of european ruling on what you are allowed to put in the mixture..i.e less salt ..less saturated fats. colourings etc. ..plus there is people pressure...eat healthy so remove all that is unhealthy ..use soya instead of wheat or corn . etc...plus costs ..use less of one thing that is expensive and replace with cheaper.milk chocolate on biscuits have less lactose and salt.sugars are bad so replace.them with sugar lite.etc. nothing is what it was . coca cola used to have a little drop of cocaine hence the name . but once the big wigs of ruling decided no to this .they had to change it ..and find a substitute.flavour.
