legend of korra: whats your theory of aman?

(In advance, I'm sorry if I get some of my facts wrong, I'm don't remember the episode where he reveals his power that well...) Also...*cough* (Possible) Spoilers!! *cough*

Amon is...such a mysterious character! He harbors intense hatred towards benders, and wears a mask as proof of that. This whole hatred thing sorta reminds me of ATLA (Avatar: The Last Airbender). Maybe Korra might have to kill Amon, for the safety of benders? (Like how Aang had to "kill" the Fire Lord?) Although, Korra's gonna have a pretty tough time, in my opinion. With people wanting equality, (and not to mention all the supporters Amon's got) it's going to be a rough ride solving this problem.

I'm not sure who Amon is (sorta undecided at the moment) but I'm guessing somehow in someway, he saw a lot of terrible things in his life so far. Thus, making him think quite negatively towards benders which goes to hate. Maybe Amon might think that if he can take away a really powerful person's bending (Korra's, maybe?) benders may fear them? Maybe he wants to have power? (Which he already pretty much has...) I think Amon will play a much greater role, even past the role of being the enemy. Maybe it's someone Korra knows?! There's so many possiblitities!

Hmm, getting the power to take people's bending away? I think he may have encountered some spiritual being (probably an evil one) and the being gave him the power, but for a price. Or maybe Amon's figured out a way that (only?) non-benders can use a type of power (taking people's bending away) to protect themselves? Talk about a major power boost...

I read in an avatar wiki, that energy bending could be used by everyone other than the avatar, but that teaching was lost...until now.

When ever the avatar was knocked out, she would have a series of flash backs.

The second flashback involved a bad guy named Yukone, he was arrested by toph, sent to court, and fought Aang. I think Yukone was the one who my have dome something to cause Amon to be this way before he was brought to justice.

Dunno, maybe he has connections to Aang, I think so he could learn the power of take bending
