Are peanut shells edible?

Well sometimes i want to eat peanuts but don't have time to crack the shell and i was wondering can you just eat it and the shell without causing any damage to your insides? So the question is are the edible?

    They are edible and almost 100% fiber. As long as you chew them well, they won't hurt your insides.

    Edible yes, but mostly indigestible fiberous material. Like I would answer "Is grass edible?" the same way.

    i don't think that it's good to eat peanut shells... just crack them open and eat the peanut or get peanuts without shells
