Unrelated...I'm pretty sure that I could find three drunks who could make better ice than whatever that was that they called an ice surface last night. It looked bad on TV; Dallas Eakins said it was the worst he'd ever seen.

Didn't help the Marlies to go 0-for-10 on the PP (can't help but think a healthy Frattin, Kadri, or even Zigomanis doesn't help a bit).

My nominee for worst hockey city in North America is actually a toss-up between Uniondale, NY and Newark, NJ. Fans of these teams are too lazy to drive to Manhattan for a game so they have teams 10 and 30 miles away. Actually, Anaheim can be thrown in there too. They're 30 miles from the Staples Center. Why does the NHL need teams so close together?

Had a bit of a laugh when they started on the USA chant. There are more Americans on the Marlies than on the Admirals.

Try to beat them into submission. I think that in game 2 tonight Orr and Rosehill might get a little more ice time. Teach Labrie and Picard a little more respect.

Most of these fans in cities like Norfolk think that Slapshot is a real hockey story.

Still pale in comparison to Ottawa. They don't even chant anything..... they just boo. Maybe throw in a Leafs suck, even if they aren't playing the Leafs. But if they are, watch out, there will be extra boos tonight. I have watched lots of games from lots of teams, and most fans will kind of lightly boo a penalty call on their team, maybe a close offside call, but Ottawa boos everything. Even at the ASG they were obnoxious and disrespectful.
