Are there foreign players in Japanese baseball league?

Also, If you point me to a link of Japanese baseball players now playing in American MLB teams.

I'm writing an paper on Japanese sports, especially Baseball, so any comments or hints about the subject are appreciated.

American ball players sign quite regularly with the Japanese Major League Baseball teams in place today, how many are playing today ,punch it in.One reason players like to go to Japan is that their fences are closer and some players not cutting it in the majors here and not wanting to go to triple A or other will opt for Japan or other foreign leagues.

Yes, in fact many Japanese baseball records are held by Americans. The most recent set in 2010 when Matt Murton broke the single season hits record.
