Any Avengers precursors worth seeing?

I'm not a comic-books fan. I didn't know any backstory about the Avengers, but I saw the movie because it was written by Joss Whedon.

Are any of the other movies about these characters as good as the new one?

    Hi Amy,

    surprisingly all of the films are worth seeing. The first Iron man is a must, Thor is amazing, Captain America also great. The Incredible Hulk is probably the worst out of them all and even then it was a pretty good film.

    In my opinion, the first Iron Man and The Avengers are the best Marvel movies.
