Golden Gate transit or Blue & Gold Fleet?
I'm planning to take a ferry in a day trip to Sausalito in the end of the month when I visit San Francisco. There are two ferry companies available. Which is better: the Golden Gate Transit Ferry or the Blue and Gold Fleet Ferry. Thanks for the info!

Use the service that is more convenient for you.
- Blue and Gold departs from Fisherman's Wharf.

- While Golden Gate is based in the Ferry Building.

Try to visit Sausalito on the weekend when the shuttle bus to Muir Woods is operating. You can also rent a bike in San Francisco. The ferries are bike friendly. Sausalito is a chic, beautiful hillside town that is reminiscent of the Italian Riviera. But it is also quite small. Once you have browsed the upscale boutiques and eaten at the fine restaurants, you might want to engage in more rigorous activity. A hike in the woods or a ride along the bay trail is the perfect way to cap off a day trip out of the city.

quality is the same. decide which one to take based on schedule times and whether you want to dock at pier 41 or the ferry building in SF. you may find depending onwhat time you want to go and return, you may want to take one company over there and another company to return... the ferries dont run that often. like every 1 to 2 hours.
