Why do my answers sometimes disappear without notification?
It's happened at least twice now. I think both times I may have incorporated relevant links as part of a larger answer, but why should that matter? And I thought if someone reported me for abuse I would be notified? What else might have happened? I looked through the guidelines again and I still don't get it. I asked yahoo about it the first time, but they did nothing that I can tell.

yes if reported for abuse or removed by staff for a violation you will receive a email violation notice and see a -10 points in your list of activity on your profile page. other reasons it might be deleted are:1.if the question is deleted it takes all answers with it . 2. posts with certain links ( especially picture links) or certain words are sometimes caught by the auto filter system and held for staff review before posting .(if the question is listed on your answers list and your answer is just not showing up, this likely happened) i know this happens with questions i imagine it applies to answers as well.3. if the selected Best Answer is deleted it deletes the question and all other answers. in these last instances no email is sent. also make sure to check your spam folder to make sure no violation notices.
