I'm sure you probably know all of this but here is a little refresher, a lot of things may have changed in the last 10 years.

#1: Start taking a multivitamin with folic acid. Without folic acid your baby can have spinal or brain birth defects. (Like today).

#2: Call your doctor and make an appointment - there is way more that the physician/nurse midwife will be able to teach you than I can type in a short yahoo answers

#3: Start exercising, lightly (going for walks, etc.) - this increases the size of the placenta, thus causing a higher birthweight baby. The older you are, the more chances that you will have complications, which is why light exercise will be extremely beneficial to you. (I'm not saying your old, but in childbearing years even 35 is old).

#4: Make sure you are eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner - and snacks. No skipping meals anymore! (And preferably, your meals should be healthy)

#5: Buy a baby book, either at a second hand store if your looking to save money or wherever. This will help you learn everything that they won't be able to teach you in the doctor's appointment, because there's a lot of stuff.

    Congratulations!

Get yourself on some vitamins. Also, I took DHA/lipids on top of regular vitamins, it's supposed to help brain development. (I don't know if it is why, but my children are WAY ahead of their development age).

No deli meats, less fish, no shell fish. There is a study saying not to eat many peanuts, too. Saying it'll cause peanut allergies, I dunno about that.

No anti-acne cremes. There are ingredients in them that cause birth defects.

    Again, congratulations!
