how can i install 8GB ram on intel DG41RQ motherboard?

i have installed 2GB DDR2 800 SDRAM on my intel DG41RQ motherboard. But i want to upgrade it to 8GB RAM. i have total 2 slots. One slot already has 2GB module in it and the other is empty.

So, is it possible to get a 6GB memory module with the same feature as my 2GB module (i.e. DDR2 800) to make a total ram of 8GB. If yes, then what product should i go for or if no, then whats the alternative for it.

    EDIT:

The specs on that motherboard clearly state support up to 8GB RAM in two memory modules (of course with a 64bit operating system), so never mind what Simply RED says....

There is no such thing as a 6GB memory module.

    The DDR2 800MHz (PC2 - 6400) memory only comes in 256MB, 512MB, 1GB, 2GB and 4GB.

Discard the 2GB memory module and buy a Dual Channel Kit 8GB (two x 4GB) DDR2 800MHz aka DDR2 PC2-6400, and make sure you buy the Non-ECC, desktop memory, NOT THE ECC SERVER MEMORY.

As DDR2 memory has already been phased out, such 8GB kit would cost you $150USD or more.

i haven't heard of 6gb Ram chips, but you can get an 8gb one, so you'll have a total of 10 gb of RAM. Then you could sell your 2gb chip

You are probably thinking about removing the sole 2GB stick and put in two 4GB memory sticks. It won't work. DG41RG is only limited to 4GB max. Period!
