Could my dog get sick form this?

A few hours ago, my chocolab Rocky ate a whole plateful of brownies. I didn't think he could reach them since they were high up on the table, but he did. The problem is, they were actually filled with laxatives as well. Long story short, they were for my husband as a prank. Will these hurt him?

Also not sure if it's that important, but Rocky is pretty fat. I usually give him people food. You see I usually feed him chocolate, so I don't think it's worth taking him to a vet?? He seems to be getting sick - he's kind of just laying there. My vet says not to feed him chocolate but he also says that my dog needs around 2 hour walks to stay healthy, so i think I'm going to get another one.

Please help??

Update:

Like I said I don't really trust my vet, but where do you find an emergency vet?? Never heard of them.

I can tell you're being sarcastic cherryblossom you're not helping it's been my first dog he was a present for Christmas I didn't research for him I'm not sure if he's going to be ok or not.

Update 2:

@Moondog - Ohh your saucyness just gets my heart racing .

    Quit trolling.

Any pea brain moron would know this will kill your dog. You don't trust your vet?? I suggest he has no cause to trust you either.

I'm not sure about brownies with laxatives.. My lab once ate an entire chocolate Easter bunny and he was fine. Call your vet, or if its closed call the emergency vet in your area.

And also, that's a pretty mean joke you were trying to play.

you must have been pretty bored 3 minutes ago when you posted this?

have you found something to do now?

my advice.. just feed him more brownies. add some chocolate milk to his bowl tonight to wash it all down. all will be fine in the morning..
