And she was not the little girl...or even the first who picked up her challenge...just one of the many...and what an impact she had!

Apparently some can't grasp the concept of appreciatin' teh poetry while disagreein' with teh inspiration! I am not sharing the inspiration for critique! It is what it is...OF COURSE!!!
And Happy...I'm taklin' about you. I find it hard to accept amicable after "pollyanna crap" and worn rhetoric even the demons in R&S would reject
out of hand! You cannot possibly hope to float the "crap" argument that God MADE the misery we suffer, and then argue against it as sunfish salvation fact, ignoring the metaphor that makes the whole doggone thing neither movement or philosophy in and of itself! The creation argument you proffer is too naive an outlook to even warrant address. If ever you wish to explore the concept of creation and free will and their inextricable interrelationship, you have my email, but I'd prefer you restrict your critique here to my writing, not my heart...IT is sensitive, and I am its fierce protector.

PS: I read the web-site. I am one of the "cold water" types that respond badly to this sort of pollyanna crap. The idea that altruism can "make right" the world is anathema to me.
God MADE a world with so much misery and horror, and I cannot paper over that experience just to be "happy". Starfish need to be rescued for their own sake. When it becomes a "cause" a movement, or a philosophy I am against it.
I am a firm believer that faith without doubt is worthless. Faith and reason examine and strengthen each other. Faith that says "heck with reality" I find toxic, any more than soulless reason can work for me.
We are free of course to disagree amicably.
