Will the Republicans fine us for not buying hand guns to protect ourselves?

Doubtful. First, there isn't an epidemic of home invasions. Second, law enforcement is already socialized. Third, taking precedence to extremes tends to hurt campaigns during the next election cycle.

If Republicans pass that kind of law, they should expect the American people to abandon them like they did the Democrats in 2010.

That's my proposal. Every household is required to own and keep a gun on premises or face a punitive tax.

I think it would be great if the Republicans forced everyone to buy a handgun since the stats clearly show that this increases one's odds of surviving a violent attack. I would love to see the libs choking on their own dictatorial policy of FORCING what's "good" for us down our throats against our will.

Republicans aren't dumb (and greedy) enough to require that we exercise a 2nd amendment right. That is something a Dem would do.

I was wondering that myself. I mean, how can I use the "stand your ground law" if I don't have an appropriate death tool????

We have been taxed to buy weapons for a long time, and guess what you don't even get to use them...

you guys opened the door to the slippery slope, hope you are ready to live with it

They would rather we didn't have any guns. They dont like fair fights.
