Do you have to have a prescption for insulin?
I get my insulin free from a program called Lilly but it has not arrived yet. Someone said you can go to wal mart and get insulin without a prescption is that true?
You only need a script for certain types went to wal mart and got some I get the humulin 70/30 and the pharm tech said only certain types of insulin require a script.

yes you need a perscribtion, and they sell insulin at walmart? never knew that...

I don't think that it's true. I would think that since it's a controlled medication that someone could overdose on if not used properly, so you need a prescription in order to get it, just like vicodin and the other drugs like that. But just to be sure, I would call the pharmacy department at Wal-Mart to confirm with them.
