Why have the iconic words of liberal saint, John F Kennedy been lost upon modern democrats?

Look at the anger this completely innocent question has generated..........why can't at least one of you actually answer the question.

The entire country seems to have forgotten that, when a major Republican can say that the first order of business is making a president a one term president that doesn't indicate any concern for the country either.

And that was said at a time when we had the draft, how many young men of today would go into the military for years without carrying on like spoiled children? How many spend even a bare minimum doing charity work, or caring about the least of us?

Its all been me, me, me, and what they can get and what they can take and how its the other guy to blame for the mess we find ourselves in. And its not liberals by a long shot, conservatives have no interest that doesn't concern their own tax bill.

That's the problem with all Americans, not just liberals, and it's due to Nixon and Reagan more than anything else. People don't want to work for the betterment of humankind, they just want theirs. The public lost faith with Watergate and that jaded mindset fell into the hands of the 80s Reaganites who believed selfishness was a virtue. Why help your country when you can help yourself?
