Is Yellowtail wine just another Abor mist?

Trying to find something new but I fear the cheap wine headache.

But I guess you get what you pay for.

It's not amazing, but yellow tail is definitely a step above arbor mist or 2 buck chuck.

It's a nice weeknight type of bottle to have around.

Yellowtail isn't very good, but it isn't chalk full of artificial fruit flavour like Arbor Mist is (not really wine in my opinion). If you are looking for a decent cheap go-to wine I'd suggest checking out Hardy's Stamp Series, it's Australian as well, but it's of a bit better quality (the Gewurztraminer-Riesling is quite good). However, if you've got a good wine shop in your area, check them out and ask what the staff would recommend. There's some phenomenal value from Portugal, Southwest France (Languedoc/Rousillon), and some lesser known grape varieties in Italy (Verdicchio, Nero d'Avola, etc.), it'll be a couple bucks more, but the quality will be much better than the mainstream-industrial brands and you might learn a bit about wine in the process, which always comes in handy in the long-run. Cheers.

Not all cheap wines are gross. And Yellowtail is nothing like Arbour mist.

Ask the cashier at the liquor store, and they'll direct you to some good, cheap wines.

Some good ones are Graffinga, Chocolate Shop, Copper Moon, Peller Estates, PKNG, Luigi Bosca.
