I need help in Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess (Wii version)?

I'm in the Sacred Grove for the second time on my way to the Temple of Time. I am almost out of the SG and I am trying DESPARATELY to find Skullkid so I can shoot him with my arrow. I have watched a video walkthrough which clearly shows him atop one of the trees.

I'm scanning the canopy and I CANNOT SEE HIM. Every time I try to look for him, I get ambushed by the puppets he sends after me. I have spent almost an hour trying to look for him in the trees and my wrists hurt from using the Wiimote and nunchucks. Finding this guy cannot be this difficult but I cannot find Skullkid!

Does he hide in the same tree or in different trees in this area each time I play? Where do I find this guy? I am very frustrated as this should not be this hard.

    Yes, he is in the same tree every time. I'm not sure what the other person is talking about, because it's not random.

    If I remember correctly you have to climb up onto a platform to see him—the three steps up to the long platform (when you were a wolf lat time, he was standing at the end of this long tree-branch platform). He should be to your left, on the Wii.

    Listen to the sound of his trumpet. If you hear him blow it, you're in the right "room".

    hey dude i have had the same problem. i watched walkthroughs too, but they don't help because he goes whereever he wants. its kinda like one of those random move kinda things. if its at night. just watch for the light of his lantern. if not. just try your hardest. yeah i had the same problem it took me several hours in the day or so to finally hit him all the times needed to open the door. HUGE Legend of Zelda fan. hope i helped. sorry if i didn't. and thank you.

    Just Listen for his buzzing and then look for him if thare is no buzzing he is not thare trust me
