What makes pimples form around a healing tattoo?

I got a tattoo 3weeks ago this wend so it is mostly healed. However I do have some pimples mostly around my tattoo. A few are right on the outline but most are like half an inch away. I was wondering what causes this I switch from my anti bacterial soap to a fragrance free dove soap to help get off the last flakes of skin thinking it was the stuff in the soap and lotion I was useing (tattoo goo) will useing the dove soap help the pimples go away?

The reason that happens is because you are using too much of whatever lotion or soap or whatever, and your pores are getting clogged.

Chill out with the soap and lotion and just let it do it's thing.

Switching won't help. Stop using anything by way of lotions. Your skin wil heal itself, whether or not you use special soaps or lotions. If you use too much lotion or ointment, you can clog your pores, resulting in the skin breaking out. Stop using anything (continue cleaning it though, just use a soap you know doesn't make your skin break out, and see if it clears up. You aren't going to hurt your tattoo to do so. If the anti-bacterial soap didn't cause anywhere else on you to break out, just stick with that for another few weeks, I'm not sure which Dove you're using, but they're notorious for adding things to their soap, even if it says sent free, there can still be other stuff in there.

If the breakout doesn't clear up in a couple of weeks, you might be having a reaction to the tattoo ink. That won't hurt the tattoo either, as long as you do not pick at the bumps, but it can take a few months to clear itself up.

You're not gonna like it. The reason those form on new tattoos are from glopping a 'heal remedy' on them to the point it cuts off all the air to the skin. And it will do the same thing anywhere on your body. Sorry about that, but it's the truth. Enjoy your new ink!

Your epidermis is prob simply quite harassed out. im certain you're hanging ointment and cleansing it plenty greater than common considering the fact that of your new tattoo. a tattoo plus the care of a tattoo is plenty of drama in your epidermis. Keep caring for your tattoo the way in which that you just had been informed. as soon as its healed, which will have to be quickly, then return on your steady movements and notice in the event that they depart. i wouldnt fear an excessive amount of approximately it.
