Has anyone here ever had a medical condition commonly known as a frozen shoulder?

If so what can I expect when I start physical therapy in 2 weeks? Please only real, honest and polite answers. Thanks.

I'm almost 50 BTW, have a high tolerance to pain but this sucker really hurts!

Update:

I'm sorry, seems I wasn't clear enough in my question. I know what a Frozen Shoulder is and all the things that can cause it. What I want to know is if anyone has had a frozen shoulder and gone through physical therapy. I really want to know what to expect from the physical therapy. Sorry again for any confusion.

The first visit with be an initial evaluation where a history of the problem and a physical exam will be taken (baseline measurements, etc).

There are usually some stretching and manual therapy procedures that go along with this treatment. However, it also depends on the stage in which you are in currently. My personal opinion is that many therapists, especially those working less than 5 years tends to be too aggressive with this problem. I find I have more success by focusing on one aspect of the stretching at one time...and slowly and gently. But this is purely based on my personal experience.
