Is it ok to walk with a sprained ankle?

A few days ago I was at pointe class. Pointe is when you go up to the tips of your toes (ballet). You have to wear shoes called "pointe" shoes. They have to be tied very tightly for proper ankle support.

I didn't tie mine well. Now my ankle is sprained. I've been walking (limping) around but I can't put much wait on it. I've been doing the RICE (rest, ice, compress, elevate) thing as much as possible.

After a lot of walking my ankle always feels sore. Is it ok that I'm walking on a level 2 sprained ankle?

It's okay to walk on it some, but you should probably be using crutches to ensure you don't injure it any further.
