The anti-Obama folks are representing it as an attack on internal gun control policy, ignoring the clause that specifically says it is purely international and doesn't affect internal policies of any state.

The UN treaty will have no effect in the US as the Supreme Court has ruled in Reid vs. Covert
More propaganda for the tin foil hat crowd.
Also this is not a Con/Lib issue this is an American issue and using it to push a political agenda is ignorant. Takes away from your question.

I find it truly amazing so many people are convinced the UN Arms Trade Treaty will violate our 2nd Amendment, especially when it's just now being written.
Quite simply, we don't know what the Treaty says.
If I'm wrong, I wish somebody would show me the part of the treaty that infringes on our 2nd Amendment rights.

Nothing the UN does can trump our 2nd Amendment rights. It's just a bunch of posturing from gun control enthusiasts.
