Why won't Romney release past 12 years of tax returns?

His dad did when he ran for President.

Obama has done so.

He has released 2010 & 2011 returns, but that is the least amount of disclosure of any presidential candidate of either political party in the last 36 years.

Perhaps it is because it would shine a light on his foreign investments in Switzerland, Bermuda and the Cayman Islands & the benefit he got from using special tax loopholes?

    Hypocrisy @ it's best.

I'd like to see more about the companies he ran into the ground & outsourced all the American jobs.

He did not give money to charities, as one of your answerers suggests. That was his donation to the Mormon church. Expect they'd like to get their hands on the foreign investments!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    So what.

His 2 years of tax returns tell us what we need to know. He's rich, he made a lot of money. He paid a boat load of income taxes and gave a lot to charity.

Romney should make Obama a deal. You release your college transcripts and I'll release more tax returns.

Same as Obama wont release his birth certificate, with his real name on it, I suppose.

Or maybe that is just a part of an election war that is being faught.

You can't be a "job creator" here in the united states if you keep your money over seas!
