i guess we will see soon enough, i like him and obviously hope he does well for us and i am excited to see us play some new formations.

how do you see things going for him at spurs? try and give a knowledgeable answer and leave your prejudices elsewhere.

He is an excellent manager and will do well for Spurs... his systems and tactics will suite the Spurs players better than Chelsea players.

He was clearly not given enough time at Chelsea to transform them into an attacking/passing side, so when he left they went back to negative football.

He'll do a lot better at Spurs.

The media seem to have decided AVB will fail.... I think they'll be proven wrong.

  • To be honest i think Chelsea will regret their decision, You don't pay 15million euros for a bad manager, also apparently chelsea wern't the only club that were willing to pay his buyout clause with inter, bayern etc willing to pay it but he chose chelsea.

Mourinho was fired, Ancelotti was fired, Scolari was fired, and none of these are bad managers, Chelsea and Tottenham are run completley different, AVB himself has come out and said he feels more welcome at tottenham in these past couple of weeks than he did in the whole 8 months at Chelsea.

I'm not saying we are going to win the league next season (even though i'm going to stick a 10er on it) but he is young and ambitious, something harry was definitley not. I think it just proves how much faith levy has in him buy giving him this reported £100 million 'warchest' to spend and forge a team than can go on an win things, i think AVB is perfect for us whereas i'm not sure any manager would be good enough for what chelsea are aiming to achieve in such a short space of time... yes they won the f.a cup and champions league (with the team than AVB built by the way) but they finished lower than when AVB left them.

I apologise if my answer doesn't make sense but i don't have time to proof read it but you get the jist!

He is a good managers with good ideas. The problem at Chelsea is that he wasn't communicating enough with the players. It became clear that his man management skills were not good enough and he lost the support of the dressing room and Chelsea began to play poorly. If AVB learns from his mistakes, or Spurs' players simply have a different personality, I can see him doing well there.

AVB was treated badly at Chelsea. Then again which manager can work at "Chelski". They sacked Ancellotti who won the double.

Levy has given him a decent contract and money to spend. AVB wants to prove himself

I just wish Spurs manager's aim for the title, instead of going for 4th place minimum.

Wenger when he started out said he wanted to win the league, etc, etc. It set's a standard and players respond etc.

Spurs need to aim to win the title. Finishing 4th should be considered a consolation.

AVB i see is a workaholic. He is also hungry to prove himself. (Biggest motivator in football)

It's gonna be another Spurs roller-coaster ride at the lane.

    Hang on tight......!!!!

  • Chelsea are a POISON CHALICE run by the players... Lamps and JT

and will be until they retire, AVB wouldn't have got the job at Chelsea if he were not a good manager..

but.. even BIG Phil got fired there... tells you all you need to know about that club

just run like a rich boys plaything... embarassing

the problem was Chelsea's Owner doesn't give anybody a chance even Di Matteo who helped them win FA cup and Champions League didn't give him much of a chance
