does anyone get this joke?

Question

I went to a fancy restaurant,and the waiter asked me if  I wanted super salad. I said yes becaus I didn't know what it was. and the waiter just looked at me like I was crazy.
     After I ordered I texted my sister about what happend and she replied:
                                                                                                Are you sure he didn't say soup or salad

Yes I understood.... 'super salad' and 'soup or salad' sound similar, and the person said yes to the waiter when he said soup or salad - instead of choosing which one..... it's not that funny
