Is it weird/abnormal for a college student to talk to her parents every day (adult too attached to parents)?
I'm going into my sophomore year in college. Last year I either talked to or video chatted with both of my parents every night, sometime multiple times a day. I visit them at least once, they come up to see me once a month (continuing this summer because I work in my college town). There have even been periods of time where I have visited them every weekend for a span of a few months. I still feel very close with/attached to my parents. I am 18, and even though technically I'm an "adult" my parents are very involved in my life and attached to me. I feel that I still need my parents guidance and support. Recently I have read many articles about how it's not healthy for college students to talk to parents nightly, about setting boundaries, and almost all of my friends comment on how weird it is. What is your opinion on this?

Consider yourself very lucky, my parents died when I was 1year old so I have never had anyone to talk to, I must say I am dicated to my children becsause they are all I have and I talk to them everyday and prehaps more. My oldest is 31 and youngest is 18 so never worry about talking to your parents because they should be the one person that will never let you down.

I'm a little unusual. I was an "in-state" student, so I lived with my parents as well during college. But even after college, I still have contact with my parents.
You do need to start living your own life, though. Do you have a girl/boyfriend? How involved should your parents be in your sexual relationships? Really, they shouldn't. You're an adult now. Sure, you can ask them for advice, but they are not the "decision makers" in your life.

No, not at all. Just because you're in college doesn't mean you should disconnect from your parents.
