Is a Grand Soul not a human soul in Skyrim?

I am a vampire and have taken all the steps to feed, go to Falion and buy the spell and Black Soul Gem, infact I've done this a few times over and now have 2 black soul gems with me but every time I fill one it says Grand Soul, I go to Falion and he doesn't initiate helping to cure me, no matter how much I talk to him. What specific people or places can I go to to trap the right kind of soul? Help would be very much appreciated :)

A human soul is considered a "black soul" but when it is filled, it says Grand. The effect in terms of enchantment is the same.

Are you going to meet Falion at the right time? Have you fed recently to make sure you are not scaring him off? I have linked a page that describes the quest in full.

I think you should head to a vampire lair and soul trap one of the vampires, or soul trap a dremora. Although the soul gem would still say grand soul, but these guys actually have black souls. A black soul gem can carry both a white soul (soul of an imperial for example) and black soul, both of which are of grand level. I'm not sure it would work, but you can give it a try.

Black well known man or woman can capture human souls, yet not creatures. Azuras well known man or woman can capture creatures yet not human beings. Edit: Sorry in simple terms re study. not particular in the experience that they do provide more advantageous ability. i imagine a human on primary provides grand. yet won't be able to undergo in concepts sorry.
