Yes, I would be hugely disappointed if Madrid were to let him go. What the club needs to do is show him patience because it hasn't been easy for him moving to a new club and then sustaining a long-term injury almost instantaneously that then went on to disrupt the remainder of his debut season. I genuinely believe that if he wasn't blighted by injuries when he was bought last year: he would have actually made a much more meaningful impact at the club and could have perhaps even solidified a place in the team. The injuries may have stinted his development but he's still a superb player...and if Madrid can just give him a little patience and time to regain his confidence and composure - I have no doubt that he'll flourish at the club for many years to come as he's still only 23.
