STFU, Will you join me in common sense?

Every time I get on here, there is at least one question that is purely meant to insult the Republicans or the Democrats. It seems to me that the thing destroying America is our refusal to compromise and try to understand. I'm independent, so I see how both sides are right in some cases, and wrong in others. Both sides have different visions for how America should be, and in the meantime, America is being tied up in so much political b.s. that we can't move forward. I understand that some things are too important to compromise about, but we argue about everything. Both sides act like the other is a monster. If we keep worrying about about the letter behind our name(R or D for those who don't know), we will neglect what's best for America. What do you think, and if you agree, join the political party I just made up called STFU, Stop The Fighting United states?

Update:

@smkeller What I got from what you just said is that because they are all stubborn, we should just give up in trying to make our lives better.

Update 2:

@ Bryan I'm not saying that we not argue for what's important, but if we stopped yelling at each other about the little stuff, we could talk reason about the big topics that affect America.

The destruction of America is Bipartisan.. Our government was meant to be divided so nothing could get passed... So no one branch could have total power..

Half the laws they pass are unconstitutional...

Bipartisan support for the Patriot Act.. For NDAA.. For internet censorship.. They both support bs.

People need to get out of their party tribes, and just defend the Constitution which is being absolutely BUTCHERED by both parties.

Now see I see it a different way. I think the reason we have the problems we do today is because of the "Go along to get along" attitude you are espousing. Integrity starts with conviction. If you just acquiesce because it is the path of least resistance then you have no conviction. It is strife that ushers in change in the end. The hard fought victories are always the best and tend to produce the most positive results. Just for the record, I never have and never will join any political party. Read George Washington's farewell address sometime to find out why.

Yeah, well, good luck with that. The average person can't really see more than two sides of ANY issue at one time, hence our divide.

You can suggest away, but it will simply be ignored.

    *****EDIT*****

Deeper than plain stubbornness: lack of courage to face the unknown and try to come up with answers.

You tell me to shut up and then I should join you. We need to stop the hate but you don't help your point when you tell people to shut up. lol. Anyways I believe if anyone completely agrees with their party they are tools who don't think for themselves.
