Non-painful feeling in the right side of abdomen - what could it be?

The other day I experienced a sharp pain in my middle right abdomen which lasted a few seconds and then felt fine. Since then I've noticed a feeling in the same spot which I'll describe as "tight" for lack of a better word. I typically don't notice it unless I'm moving around.

I had over-eaten quite a bit (not something I usually do) and this occured when I was having a lot of gas/pressure/indigestion. I have considered a doctor visit but am just keeping an eye on it for now. I'm just wondering if anyone has an idea as to what happened when the pain occured?

...Please, nobody post one of those "Hello, I'm a doctor, here's a link to....yada yada" answers.

Update:

Once more----please do not post links. I specifically said "NON painful" feeling. So I should use a painkiller? Thanks a bundle. I am looking for answers as to what may have occured - if you don't have an answer/suggestion to THAT question, just don't answer, kay?

Update 2:

@jd - thank you!

Update 3:

More exact location would be to the right and slightly above the navel. It was just 2-3 days ago.

I've also experienced a random pulsating sensation in the same spot on a couple occasions, but that hasn't happened for at least two weeks; not sure if that helps.

    Keep an eye on it is all I can say. If it is to the right and below your naval, that can indicate appendicitice. But if so the pain will slowly get worse, move upwards, and you may end up with a fever and nausea. This could also indicate a gall bladder issue and depending on the location, liver irritation. But if you don't drink or take a lot of prescription drugs and stuff I wouldn't be too concerned about the latter. However if you are overweight, this can be an issue. I'd get it checked out though if it continues to bother you. A little information on how long this has been going on and the exact location would help though.

    Edit ... It could just be a muscle like the first poster said. Or maybe just an inflamed instestine. Just keep an eye on what you are eating. Eat more fiber, and drink water. See if it clears. May I recommend dr bozo's pain be gone fiber painkillers!! LOL ... just kidding.

    Crazy I had that exactly one week ago I was scared! But I think it was just because I was moving out of home and my muscles got tight from the nerves. I did drink some Mallox though for heartburn and idk if that's what worked but the pain was removed :)
