Can I shoot a racoon, possum, or a cat with a BB GUN or PELLET RIFLE without injuring them to much?
I don't want to kill them just scare them off. I can't afford to keep feeding them and they run off or fight with my cat all the time. If I trap them the city will euthanize them. Please Help/ Thank you!
I'm afraid if I shoot the Racoon he might attack me!

Yes, racoons are mean! Trust me I know from personal experience lol but if you want to SCARE an animal, i'd go with a powerful airsoft gun like this one http://www.airsplat.com/Items/GR-GG-G96.htm

Hi, a bb pellet can cause an infection & lead to death in the animal. If you do trap the animals more will come they are all territorial so it will be like a vacant apartment & more will move in. you need to feed the cat at a specific time & then take the food up. your cat will probably always fight with the wildlife so take the cat indoors. The racoon has no interest in attacking you it just wants food. like I said dont leave the food out & bang pots & pans to scare them away.

After personally being shot by a BB gun, I would say no lol. It lodged pretty deep into my skin, and I had to cut it out! For me, that wasn't a huge deal, but it could mean infection in a wild animal. Maybe try making loud noises? Try stacking cans or something that would make noise when they tip, or just shoo them off with a blast from an airhorn

Its illegal to shoot animals with pellet and BB guns because it causes a lot of pain and infection and suffering
The best solution is to keep your cat inside where it belongs and stop feeding the wild life.

I've been shot with a bb gun and the bb got lodged in my leg. I had to have surgery to get it out. I don't think it'd kill them but it'd definitely hurt them. PS I was shot with a metal bb plastic wont penetrate skin

Why would you want to shoot the animals...... there are far too many people that want to shoot them
This is why the Dodo is now none existent --- it seems that there were two left, and some moron shot them both so leave them alone and have a push button klaxon installed instead
