what is more prestige: Olympic gold medal or World Cup gold?

For men's football:

The World Cup because no one cares about Olympic Football almost no one important is really playing

For women's football:

It doesn't matter because the Women's World Cup and Olympic Football is identical for them

World Cup by far,Olympics for men are under 23 with 3 extra players above the age of 23,Olympics are kind of like a u-23 World Cup. An example is Lionel Messi still getting dogged on because he "doesn't do anything" in World Cups,he has the Olympic gold from 2008,but he's still getting criticized

omar clearly you dont now what the f u talking about. the World Cup is the trophy every footbal player wants to win. That is becouse in the WC all teams come with their best players and the atmosfere is way better. Att the olympics teams come with their 2nd teams and besides that footbal is not in focus there. Nobody will remeber if you won the olympix. The teams that are thete suck: The overall quality of the players is worse :)

If it is your first olympic games, your would surely love to get a gold medal for your final but you also have a good experience for your participation.(for beginners; olympic football is only for less than 23 years old)

For the World Cup the competitions is more difficult and you need to be selected amongst the bests. But the honour of winning a World Cup it imense.

Well its maybe Olympic gold since if you win gold for a individual race and you get gold its you that wins but if its in a soccer team its all of your team so they say that the team wins.So you get less attention except for your big fans.
