Is writing survey letters regarding accounting matters part of an accountant's job?

I am curious to know if writing a letter regarding information about accounting matters to the staff part of an accountant's job? if so pls specify in what code/law/rule is it present for black and white evidence. Thank you I really appreciate the help.

    A job duties are whatever your employer says they are.

    Uh, the job is whatever the employer says it is. No law or code is required.

    "That's not my job" is a real good way to be OUT of a job, fired.
