When can I get a refill on my pills?

I have some medication that is "Take one every 6 hours". I got it on July 24th. When can I get a refill? I had 60 pills. They are NOT opiates or narcotics, but they are blood pressure pills that I need and I ended up putting them in the medicine cabinet over the toilet and accidentally knocked the bottle down. I will be paying out of pocket since I have no insurance. When will the pharmacy let me get them?

If all else fails, I could call my doctor and explain and have him call the pharmacy, but I'd rather just get a refill rather than cry over spilt pills and sound like a moron to my doctor (I learned my lesson about keeping medication over the toilet and it won't happen again). Again, this is blood pressure medicine, NOT anything that can be abused. I think its called Metoprolol. Its something that is even very cheap as a generic. The pharmacy I use is pretty heavy-handed on letting you get scripts early (they won't give you meds even a day early unless a doctor says its okay, I tried with some Vicodin before I went on vacation so I would have enough to last my vacation, I had to get my doctor to call them), so I wouldn't be doing this unless I REALLY needed it. My pulse is consistently over 120 unless I take this medication. Yes, I'm having tests run. In the mean time, I need this to keep my pulse low enough so I don't have a heart attack.

With blood pressure pills, we don't care. You can get it anytime.

You should be ready to take your most latest percent of tablets to any retail pharmacy. The retail pharmacy you opt for will call the mail order situation and get the prescription transferred. If you are on a popular, you might get yet another one than you are used to (special pharmacies have extraordinary named generics for some manufacturer meds). The mail order pharmacy must now not refuse to transfer the prescription for you. If they do, ask the pharmacy you walk in to if they'll name your Dr and get a new prescription for you - they must give an explanation for the dilemma to the Dr for you. Additionally, you would need to figure out if you wish to get 3 months at a time. It probably a bit more cost-effective this time, and should final you by way of September. When you run out of your third percent, you must simply get 1 percent considering the fact that by the time you want your subsequent one, you'll be able to be for your husbands coverage.

Call your doctor to get a new prescription for it. Less fuss, easiest way.
