Suggest some good animes? Nothing gory or raunchy, please?
I'd love to watch some new anime, but I'm pretty picky. Other than the stuff listed above, I also want to mention:
It has to be something I can watch on crunchyroll or some other legal website. It's against my morals to watch a show illegally. Sorry for being a stick in the mud!
Also, NOT a fan of vampire/demon stories, so try to avoid those. I mean to me they're all the same, but I know a lot of people love them.
Also, please keep in mind that I'm a college student who's been watching anime since I was a kid. If it's something really popular, like Ouran, FMA, or evenItaKiss and The Girl Who Jumped Through Time or Red River, etc. I've probably heard of it/seen it. Also know some good old ones, like Sailor Moon, Ranma 1/2, or Hana Yori Dango, DBZ and YuYu Hakusho.
Pretty much whatever you suggest needs to be somewhat obscure... I know this may be difficult, but I'd really appreciate it!
Believe it or not, I've heard of ALL of these.... :/ To the guy who suggested FMA: Son, I am dissapoint. Read the description dude!

I really have no idea what you've seen, so let's give it a guess. >.>
07 Ghost
You might have heard of this one. It's not really vampire/demon, but fantasy plays a pretty big part. No romance, but I have to say....friendship runs deep in this anime. It's pretty popular, so I'm pretty sure you've heard/seen it. Not gory....but it's really sad in a way.
Tokyo Underground
You might have heard of this one as well. It's really funny and the fantasy is pretty good. Well, it's pretty much a guy who saves a girl (dieing in the process), and then gets resurrected. Not really well known, possibly because of the rushed ending (last six episodes). But the build up is great! Not bloody/gory/lots of injuries etc.
Cooking Master Boy
Food anime. It's funny and light-hearted. Not as popular as Yakitate!! Japan, but still pretty much worth it. Besides, the food looks delicious. :3
Ultra Maniac
I'm sure you've heard of this one as well, but anyway, it's funny. Supposedly romance, but I remember it for its wonderful humour.
Library War (also known as 'Toshokan Senso')
Really short. That's probably why hardly no one has watched it before.
Hatenkou Yuugi (also known as 'Dazzle')
Really short as well. The people are ver different and they seek their own place in the world. Personally, I like the manga a lot more, but this anime isn't too bad.
Shattered Angels (also known as 'Kyoshirou to Towa no Sora')
Not sure if you'd like it. There IS a little bit of ecchi in it, and the girl Kuu, is a little too powerless in my opinion. It's pretty well known (I think).
Pet Shop of Horrors
Quite a few people have read/heard of the manga. But...not everyone has heard of the anime. It's very, very short - 4 episodes.
Some other anime that I believe to be obscure/less popular than most/not too gory?:
Natsume Yuujinchou
Ask Dr. Rin! (really hard to find on the internet. >.>)
Starry Sky
Shounen Onmyouji
Tantei Opera Milky Holmes
Wedding Peach (reminds me of Sailor Moon, though not as famous as that)
Zombie Loan (not sure, but might be gory...)

you could try with Full Metal Alchemist
Soul Eater is good s well
If you want a good vampire story which is different from all the others you can try Hellsing it is very good
Bleach, Naruto and One Piece are still ongoing but they quite good
Then there is Detective Conan
also you could try to read them as manga instead of watching them
there is a good one that has been produced as a film (not sure if they serialized an anime) and its called Battle Royale
its very similar to The Hunger Games

Try Sousei No Aquarion and Aquarion Evol. Sousei is the first then Evol is the sequel. It would also help if you listed the ones you saw.
