Is coconut oil and essential oil?
I'm trying to make an air freshener and i don't think i have any essential oils in my house. I came across some coconut oil in a jar i found and I was wondering if it is an essential oil. Is it an essential oil? If not are there any essential oils most households have?

No it isn't I'm afraid.
True essential oils are extract from plants and are created using either distillation (with water or steam) or by expression (used for pressing oils from the skins of citrus fruits.)
Despite their name essential oils are not "oily" in the same way as vegetable oils such as your coconut oil are.

No, it's actual oil from pressed coconuts. Essential oils are the aromatic oils from plants, like herbs, that have to be extracted by soaking the leaves or whatever in a mineral oil. The mineral oil then takes on the aromatic character of the plant.

the water should be boiling to get the oil out, and many washes, best use them for rags and buy new ones.

No it is not.
Please don't use essential oils until you have taken a class and know the safety precautions.
