What is a likely sentencing in court?
I was driving with no insurance and unregistered tags (They were tags for the same vehicle).
I was pulled over at a Police Stop Check. I had my tags removed at the intersection, written a citation and have a court day.
I knew I was driving without both.
I purchased Auto Insurance the following day or the next day after that.
I have not gotten my actual tags back because I still need inspection. After Inspection going to buy a regular Vehicle Tag.
Plan on having Insurance and the truck tagged before court.
I live in NC. Don't see how that changes things that much.

You'll get the same sentence because you had no insurance and no tags, and since you got the insurance the day after, you legally did not have insurance. As well as no tags.
Insurance companies WILL NOT write you a policy backdating for this very reason, your policy either started on the day you bought it, or the day you set it up to start. So you cannot prove that you had insurance, because you didn't.
And as for the sentence, I don't know because I've never been in this situation, and you gave us no info to lookup, which WE don't need to be doing, since you have the same access to google that we do.

In Singapore you may get caned and 3 years jail.
