Friend visiting from Miami- help!!?

I live in Southeastern PA- a little west of Philly and a little north of Wilmington. There is absolutely NOTHING to do around here, and I have a friend from Miami who wants to visit me for a weekend! He has never been anywhere near my hometown and I'm afraid we'll run out of things to do.

I was thinking that one night we could go see a Philadelphia Union soccer game and tailgate with food and drinks from the Mid-Atlantic area (Capriotti's hoagies, Dogfish head beer, etc etc) because we're both really into soccer, and I was going to take him to my Quaker meeting on sunday (His idea, not mine- He's really into religion and never has met a quaker other than me!! haha) but I really don't know what else to do!!

Does anyone know any non-touristy type stuff we could do in the Southeastern PA/Wilmington DE area?

Also, is there anything unique about this area? I don't want to do things that he could just do back at home in Florida.

Take him to Reading Terminal Market in downtown Philly for some waffles and ice cream and then hop on the bus for the Mural Arts Tour. It's a tour of all the city-sponsored murals around town. It's a nice way to see the city too.

If you are museum/history people, the Constitution Center is amazing. If you have a strong stomach, the Mutter Museum is definitely unique. http://www.collegeofphysicians.org/mutter-museum/,

    Enjoy!
