If there a Communist political party in the United States?

It's not illegal to belong to the Communist Party and yes we have one. I've given you a link to all of the parties here in the U.S.

Yes America's Communist Party is still around and has evolved in ways that Lenin, Mao, Stalin, and Marx never envisioned. America's Communists had to find other ways into Politics here after the McCarthy Era back in the 50's.

So, they embedded themselves into the Democrat Party of the USA. This has brought us many thoughts and ideas that have helped in the Short Term, but have proven disastrous in the Long Term. The USA has multiple parties that are communist in name. However, none of them are truly communist as they shun militant class struggle and immerse themselves in filthy parliamentary politics to support capitalist candidates. They are opposed to the ongoing militant communist struggles in different parts of the world as well. So it is not illegal to be their member either. However, the worsening conditions in the USA is making it more and more favourable for militant communists to organize in, and build a true revolutionary communist party.

The Dems are actually a mixed group. There are progressives in it, as well as members of the right (who are more like Republicans in their views). There is also a Green party, as well as a bunch of other small parties.

We don't have a parliamentary system; our system kind of forces us to have two main parties -- though about a third of voters are "independent" -- they don't belong to any political party.

Yes, there is a communist party, but there aren't enough members for it to have much political influence. There's a lot of stigma against the idea of communism in my country, which would make it very difficult for communists to gain any power.

Don't listen to TOMCAT or newyawker; they're completely wrong. Democrats aren't communists. Communists will probably vote Democrat, but then again, neo-Nazis will probably vote Republican, but that doesn't mean that all Republicans are racist fascists, now does it?
